annual spring tree & shrub auction: may 21st, 2016- bidding @ 9:30 AM
Our annual Spring Tree & Shrub Auction will be a little later than usual this year. We are hoping to avoid conflicts with Mother's Day and Fishing Opener, and improve the chances of having nice weather for our event. The public is welcome to attend and participate and there are no minimums or reserves. We arrange our trees in lots of four and our shrubs in lots of twenty or less. Winning bidders have the opportunity to purchase as few or as many plants from a given lot as they choose. Plants are sold in the order in which they are arranged to keep things moving. Whenever possible, we stagger tree varieties throughout the auction so that everyone has a chance to bid on the types they are interested in. We really try to keep the atmosphere friendly for both large and small volume buyers. Loading services are available on auction day and at specified times during the week following the auction. All of our trees are under irrigation in the auction yard, so we can keep them healthy until they are picked up. Shrubs are not under irrigation and must be removed from the premises on auction day. We do not load enclosed trailers, as damage to trees is likely to result. Loading fees and buyers premiums do apply. A list of the varieties and sizes of trees and shrubs to be included in the auction will be added to our site a couple of weeks before the auction date. An actual itemized list of auction trees will not be posted until a day or two before the auction. That will be available at faheysales.com Right now, it looks like we will have a bunch of spruce trees, some birches and some crabapples. This mix is pretty common for our spring auction, as these varieties look good right away in the spring.
